On behalf of the Run for Innocence team, I just wanted to thank everyone that came out to the Blue Ribbon Walk and made it such a great experience. We end up with around 80 people (including children) participating. It was great to see all the support.
I also wanted to give Preston Jensen a special thanks for speaking to us and telling us his story. His words were eye opening and also very moving. After hearing him speak, I hope we all have made a strong resolve to do what we can to prevent childhood sexual abuse, I know I have.
Here are some pictures from the event:
Along with the walk and hearing from Preston, we also enjoyed a donut eating contest, a three-legged race, and some slack lining. Thank you to everyone that helped out, it was a blast! I even got in on the donut eating contest, although I was destroyed by all the other contestants. You can find more pictures from the walk here.
The walk really was a great experience. We are planning on making this an annual event, so we hope to see all of you there again next year!
